Legends of Red Dead Reports: Red Dead Redemption Losing Many Players Online Due to In-Game Glitches

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 30, 2011 /Entertainment PR News/ -- The Legends of Red Dead Redemption (http://www.thelegendsofreddeadredemption) - an online professional and sponsored gaming team with a sharp focus upon Rock Star's hit cowboy western thriller, Red Dead Redemption for the Xbox 360 game console - report that due to a high amount of glitches that have not been patched by Rock Star that the game is losing player appeal and the online game is greatly suffering from the impact of these glitches.
The players game every day on Red Dead Redemption online for the Xbox 360, and they have discovered a vast amount of glitches that make the game nearly unplayable and far less appealing as a result.
The gaming team stays in regular and frequent contact with Rock Star Support to get the these glitches updated and patched so that gamers can enjoy playing in a fair online environment that is free of glitches, players that cheat using mods and hackers that would detract from the enjoyment of this popular online game for the Xbox 360.
In a recent glitch report that was submitted to Rock Star Games - to their support department - the gaming team has reported the following glitches that need to be patched.
Transport Cancel Glitch:
If a player is killed by another player four times consecutively, they will be able to transport away to avoid getting bullied. This was a feature that Rock Star built into the game to help players avoid being bullied. However, if a player is presented with the "Transport" option and they decide to cancel it and remain in the same area, they enter into a glitch, commonly called the "Transport Cancel Glitch," and widely known by most gamers online.
This glitch gives the player triple to quadruple health, three times the dynamite and three times the fire bottles, presenting an unfair and widely abused cheat that other players will abuse to defeat legitimate players. Additionally, when Rock Star added this feature, they did not realize that it opens the door to several other glitches including:
- Changing to a fire bottle and then holding the weapon wheel open, and then changing back to a throwing knife, rolling and implementing the "Dead Eye" slow motion feature, which makes a player invincible and allows for them to kill any other player without dying in the game themselves.
- Pressing the "Back" button and entering into "Dead Eye" at the same time so that they can stand in place and remain invincible.
- Defeating a new gang hideout once they have entered the Transport Cancel Glitch and then getting the explosive rifle, tricking the server by leaving a fellow gamer in the hideout, and then returning so they can wrack up 30 explosive rifle shots, when you are only supposed to get 5 total to make the game fair.
Another glitch that is being reported is called the "Shadow Glitch." This was already patched to add a barrier to the train tracks in the northern part of Cholla Springs in the multiplayer map, but gamers have found a way around the barrier and still use the glitch. The glitch makes a person invisible so they can ride around and kill other gamer unfairly.
The classic zombie DLC add-on pack called "Undead Overrun" also has some glitches. Players are able to kill each other holding the Blunderbuss weapon, Undead Bait or even a Torch - none of which are allowed in Free Roam, and then transport back to free roam and kill other players with these weapons, freezing their game consoles.
In Multiplayer Cooperative Missions, players are able to implement a glitch where they bring back a gatling gun carriage and a four horse carriage into free roam by driving the carriages to another location on the map and then transporting back to free roam.
It is the Legends' highest hopes that with the forthcoming announcement of the Fan Appreciate DLC that Rock Star Games fervently addresses and patches these glitches that are ruining free roam play for millions of legitimate gamers.
Easy patches include: Adding a new barrier to the Shadow glitch. Removing the Transport away option or patching it. Patching when gamers transport back in to free roam from Undead Overrun, and patching when gamers transport back into free roam from Cooperative Missions.
Red Dead Redemption is one of the most popular online games for Xbox 360, and features a vast and expansive free roam world set in the Wild West in 1911, where gamers can form posses, play as cowboys, and even play mini-games like poker and liar's dice. It has been rated as Game of the Year and has received many numerous awards and accolades, and is widely attributed as one of the best-selling multiplayer games of all time for this gaming console.
