Online Betting Firm Sky Bet Tip Martin Staszko to Win WSOP's November Nine 2011
WSOP's November Nine 2011.
MIDDLESEX, ENGLAND, July 26, 2011 /Entertainment PR News/ -- The World Series of Poker has discovered its November Nine for 2011 with online betting firm Sky Bet making Martin Staszko their favourite to win the title. In the hunt are WSOP Player of the Year elect Ben Lamb, while British & Irish hopes are represented by Eoghan O'Dea and Sam Holden.
O'Dea goes in to the final table with over 33.9m in chips and he'll certainly be getting advice from his father, renowned Irish poker pro Donnacha O'Dea. While Sam Holden won't have the same level of advice from his own father, he'll be getting all the well-wishes and betting support from the English, following on from James Akenhead's final table appearance in 2009.
The final table has a mix of players, with the US online pros certainly the strongest represented. There are those from outside the US though who will be trying to ensure it's another win for the Rest of the World after the title went north of the border to Canada with Jonathan Duhamel, with chip leader Martin Staszko from the Czech Republic, German hope Pius Heinz, Ukranian unknown Ahtoh Makiievskyi all joining O'Dea and Holden's European assault.
The final table bubble boy was John Hewitt, who was crippled after making a dubious call with K-Qo vs Bounahra's K-K in a previous hand. In the final hand it was Irishman O'Dea who put the final nail in to his coffin after he won the flip with K-Jo vs Hewitt's 3-3. The flop came Q-T-x, with the Ace on the turn ensuring Broadway for O'Dea and a different set of bright lets for the rest of the November Nine.
Sky Bet are offering a selection of online betting markets on the WSOP Main Event Final Table, with Staszko the 4/1 favourite, with Ben Lab and Eoghan O'Dea joint second favourites at 5/1. The online betting firm also go 8/13 on a non-American winner of the Main Event, with a US victory priced 6/5.

The November Nine Betting Odds and Bios
Martin Staszko (40,175,000) 4/1 - Czech pro player making this his fifth cash of the 2011 WSOP. According to Phil Hellmuth and Antonio Esfandiari, he seems to be happy to play any two cards and has just been stealthily raising his chip count. Chip leader with 40,475,000.
Eoghan O'Dea (33,925,000) 5/1 - son of famous Irish poker player Donnacha O'Dea. This is his fourth cash of this WSOP, with cashes all the way back to 2005 on his poker resume.
Matt Giannetti (24,750,000) 7/1 - A 26-year-old American pro who already has a string of cashes counting back to 2006 totally almost half a million dollars. His stack was propelled in a big hand where his J-J held up against an ill-timed squeeze from Ben Lamb.
Phil Collins (23,875,000) 6/1 - Although you'll be hearing a lot of this between now and November, this is not the singer but an online pro who is originally from Illinois but has since relocated to Las Vegas.
Ben Lamb (20,875,000) 5/1 - Over $ 2.5m in career winnings and numerous WSOP cashes. 'Benba' won his first bracelet this year in the $ 10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship event (Event #42)
Badih Bounahra (19,700,000) 12/1 - 49-year-old businessman who resides in Belize City, although he's originally from Lebanon. Only a relatively small number of cashes in his career, this is certainly his biggest payday.
Pius Heinz (16,425,00) 9/1 - A 22-year-old student from Germany. This isn't his first WSOP final table, having finished 7th in Event #48 ($ 1,500 NLHE) so cashing for $ 83,286. He was described as the 'most wreckless on the table' according to Hellmuth and Esfandiari's ESPN coverage.
Ahtoh Makiievskyi (13,825,000) 9/1 - something of an unknown quantity from Ukraine. This is his first WSOP and obviously proving to be a very successful one! If he wins the Main Event it would represent a 5th bracelet for the nation at the 2011 WSOP and their first Main Event champion.
Samuel Holden (12,375,000) 12/1 - The British hope at the table, hailing from Canterbury. While this is his first WSOP, he's already racked up cashes on the UK and Irish circuit. He'll be taking in the short stack at the November Nine, with 13.725m.
