BOSTON, MA, July 25, 2011 /Entertainment PR News/ -- Dorian Mintzer, Ph.D., Psychologist, Therapist, and Life Transition and Executive Coach, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in psychotherapy and coaching services.
With an extensive 40-year background in psychotherapy as well as life transition and executive coaching, Dr. Mintzer spends her days working with individuals and couples, teaching, speaking, and consulting. She also provides workshops and training designed to help clients appreciate their accomplishments and make intentional choices about how to live the next phases of their lives, set action plans, and work toward their goals in life and business. Dr. Mintzer is the co-author of the recently published book "The Couple's Retirement Puzzle: 10 Must-Have Conversations for Transitioning to the Second Half of Life." She also wrote a chapter in a book on infancy, and a few articles based on her dissertation, which focused on first-born infants with birth defects.
Dr. Mintzer earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1968 from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Master of Social Work two years later from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work. In 1979, she added to her already outstanding background with a Ph.D. from Smith College. She is a licensed psychologist, independent clinical social worker, and Third Age coach, in addition to being a certified 2Young2Retire facilitator. She holds memberships to several professional organizations, including the Massachusetts Association of Social Workers, National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, International Positive Psychology Association, American Society on Aging, and International Coach Federation.
