After retiring from a successful career in education, Kathleen Moore pursued her dream of being a performance artist
NEWBURYPORT, MA, June 14, 2011 /Entertainment PR News/ -- Kathleen Moore, Performance Artist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in acting and writing.
Dr. Moore has always harbored a passion for acting and writing. However, in the interest of supporting her family, she pursued a career in education and enjoyed a stable vocation as an English professor. Now retired after more than three decades, she is focusing her talents as a self-employed performance artist. Dr. Moore dedicates her time to writing plays, acting in various roles, and studying acting with Marc Clopton at The Actor's Studio in Newburyport, MA. She plans to continue on this path for many years to come.
A graduate of St. Lawrence University and The University of Memphis, Dr. Moore holds a master's degree in English and a Ph.D. in philosophy and English from the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of The Maud Powell Society for Women in Music, an organization that honors the first female American violinist by cultivating interest in music among youth. Dr. Moore supports the Free Rein Therapeutic Riding Center and the National Museum of Women in Fine Arts.
